Speaker Bio
Kamala Manju Kesavan brings over two decades of enterprise software implementation expertise to her role as Director of Engineering at Visa. With a Master of Science in Cloud Computing Architecture from the University of Maryland and a Master of Computer Science from Madurai Kamaraj University, India, she excels in bridging business strategy with technology.
In her current role, Kamala oversees the development and implementation of the Visa Tokenization Service, leading a global team in designing, maintaining, and enhancing the system's security and efficiency. She holds certifications in Agile practices, Scrum, and DevOps, and her leadership fosters a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within her team. Previously, at Macy's from 2016 to 2022, Kamala served as Senior Engineering Manager, driving the implementation of next-generation retail order platform solutions on Google Cloud. She led transformative projects, including a migration from mainframe to cloud-based systems and the automation of testing processes, significantly reducing manual effort and time to market.
